Role

Frontdoor is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our team and help build our social discovery engine. Our work is at the forefront of next-generation networks (web3), leveraging techniques from AI (large language models)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Frontdoor web app and chrome extension using React
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Python
  • Work with the team to design and implement new features
  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to improve the overall platform
  • Use your expertise in AI and OpenAI to develop and integrate the backend AI functionalities
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise

Requirements:

  • Exceptional experience with React and strong experience with Python
  • Good experience with SQL and familiarity with PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of AI, OpenAI APIs, and vector databases (e.g. Pinecone)
  • Experience with BERT or other language models is a plus
  • Experience with recommender systems is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a fast-moving team environment

We’re looking for a hungry, ambitious full-stack engineer keen to get their hands dirty and take projects from 0 to 1 and beyond. We care about what you’ve shipped - we’re looking for great, scrappy builders who get things done.

We don't believe in lengthy interview processes. We move fast, and our typical process includes a call with the founders along with a short technical challenge to showcase how you think.
